SRF New Water Treatment Plant The Town of Yankeetown won an award for the Small Public Water System of the Year from the Florida Rural Water Association in 2009 for this highly efficient water treatment plant. Services provided by Mittauer & Associates, Inc. included grant assistance, engineering design, surveying, permitting, construction administration, and resident observation. The project was completed February 2009 for a total cost of $4,400,000.

This project involved the construction of a new ion exchange/reverse osmosis water treatment plant for the Town of Yankeetown. The project also included new water supply wells, new pretreatment filters, chemical feed systems, membrane units, finish water storage, disinfection equipment, high service pumps, sitework, yard piping, electrical, plant instrumentation and associated buildings and structures. The project was funded through a combination grant and low interest loan from the FDEP SRF Program.
CDBG 07 NR Water Main ReplacementsThe project consisted of construction of 10,000 LF of 4-inch, 6-inch, 8-inch, 12-inch and 14-inch potable water lines including all associated valves, fittings and appurtenances, installation of eight (8) fire hydrants with associated valves and fittings and rehabilitation work at the City’s water treatment plant including associated site work, and well valve replacements. The project was funded through a CDBG in the Neighborhood Revitalization Category.
